Vox Grata Women’s Choir will perform Linda Tutas Haugen’s “Anne Frank: A Living Voice” accompanied by string quartet. An emotional tour de force, this multi-movement work is based upon selected excerpts from The Diary of Anne Frank. The texts and music portray a psychological progression from fear and despair to strength and hope. Also on the program is Daniel J. Hall’s “Reflections from Yad Vashem,” written following the composer’s visit to a children’s Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem. All of Vox Grata Women’s Choir’s concerts directly benefit the needs of women in the Middle Tennessee area.
